Val Maslina, a picturesque bay, is located in the southern part of the Montenegrin coast, between the towns of Bar and Ulcinj, 10 km south from the port of Bar and 12 km north from the town of Ulcinj. This is the south Bay of Bar municipality, which is best known as a family resort, with many cottages and restaurants.
In the bay is located a beach Uvala Maslina (better known as Utjeha), which has a length of 185 m and a latitude of 25 m and It is covered with small white pebbles. The beach is famous for crystal clear sea water, which flows into fresh water, whose source is in the depths of the sea, which gives the water a blue-green hue. The beach can accommodate proximately around 1,500 people.
Behind the beach is an olive grove with millennial old trees, from which the beach got its name. Bar area is known for its large number of olive trees, largest of which is located in Utjeha. Thanks to clean sea water and modernly equipped beach, the beach got a blue pennant (the international quality symbol of quality for maintaining the cleanliness of the sea and the protection of the environment), the recognition that get only best beaches in the world.
There are two international airports in Montenegro, one in Podgorica and another one in Tivat. The beach is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for a pleasant beach holiday. On the territory of the beach there are: a both marina, beach equipment (stationary sun beds, sun loungers, awnings, umbrellas, toilets, cabins for changing clothes), showers, cafes, restaurants…
